Snowflake Challenge - Day 2

In your own space, share a book/song/movie/tv show/fanwork/etc that changed your life. Something that impacted on your consciousness in a way that left its mark on your soul. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

This is fan space, so here is the most relevant response I can muster. Theoden's speech "Fear No Darkness!" gets me each time, and the clip shows Merry's and Eowyn's fear as real, graphic terror and dread and conviction to go forward. It also shows Eomer at his berserker best. I do my best to fear no darkness.

Okay, watching that knowing that the majority of the riders are cross-dressed women is amazing, and I think I might pretend that is canon rather than filming necessity.

Thanks so much for sharing this. Fear no darkness, indeed. Those orcs look shaken.

Tumblr tells me many things. I feel like LOTR behind the scenes info from a random citing DVD extras or somesuch is probably pretty reliable.

I liked Theoden's speech, but honestly, Eowyn's "no living man am I!" donut hole speech will probably always remain my favorite battle scene. Because Angmar, dude. That armor spell you're so proud of? Only has 49% coverage. FAAAAIIIIIL LOL

*laugh* Sure, why not?

Also, there's one of Elrond/Agent Smith somewhere. LOL

Oh God, I love that scene so much. It's one of my personal favorites from the LOTR movies, ever.

It really is. And that's very true -- you definitely feel the fear of the characters, but also their determination and their drive to go forward. It's one of the best scenes in the film, really.
