pronkerLiveJournal's crack_van comm provided oodles of recs and sparked much joy from 2004-2014. Though closed, I enjoy returning to it to refresh the old gray cells of memory. The link goes to just my posts, but the comm's profile contains such richness of fandomitude. :)
Speaking of the old gray cells, storyfinders helps one identify that pesky beloved fic that one simply cannot recall the author and title. You know the one I mean.
fanart_recs helps so much to find enjoyable artwork and it doesn't even need to be in one of my fandoms. I just like looking at stuff.
Fourthly, fancake offers recs in most every fandom and not only for ficcage, but also for art.
Fifthly, this wiki for the Madagascar fandom continues to please with updates on a possible 4th *!* film plus ongoing activity from its members re quotes, images and information on all aspects of the franchise.
