Yup, this fandom is such darn fun. I've AU'd several fates for the duo: a. they survived as in canon, captured by SeaWorld aqua fun park but with terrible injuries, eventually rescued by Skipper's team before deciding to return to live in SeaWorld; b. they opted post-rescue to return to Central Park Zoo, assigned to the Kids' Zoo because their horrific injuries forbade them going on any missions in their team; c. they died and swam through the Eternally Foggy Sea to the Endless Iceberg, a POM version of Heaven, my headcanon. Basically, they're 'face' characters with perhaps one minute of canon in spite of all the differing tales of their demise, so it's easy to mess with them. *smug smile*
