Title: Ode To Aurra Sing, by Hondo Ohnaka
Rating: T
Era: The Clone Wars, shortly after Aurra Sing and Hondo Ohnaka meet again
Disclaimer: I am not George Lucas and this fanfiction set in his Star Wars makes no profit. Good thing Hondo and Aurra don't know that.
Summary: Hondo muses musically.
A/N: Inspired by the lilting quality of Aurra Sing's name, this was born. The folk tune, "Aura Lea," is the source, although humming along to Elvis Presley's "Love Me Tender," will bring the same mood to the work, as "Love Me Tender" is a derivative adaptation of "Aura Lea." YouTube embeds include a really sappy one for "Are You Lonesome Tonight?", also by The King. It just seemed to fit. And on the distaff side, "You Don't Own Me" by Lesley Gore, I liked in 1964 and it still resonates, as I suspect it does with Aurra.
EAD: Links to the songs, as LJ does not enable the 'i frame' code from YouTube's embed coding:

OoOoOoOoOo
Long ago, we had a fling
And we enjoyed ... dates.
To inter-species sex I cling,
Cont'ry to the Fates.
