Character diagnosis: I am an animal snob.

 I watch tons of animal shows on NatGeo Wild, Animal Planet (less on AP since their emphasis starting about three years back on criminal programs mixed in with animals, ew) and YouTube's various offerings.  Top favorite people remain Jeremy Wade, Zeb Hogan, César Millan, Simon Keys and Siouxsie Gillett, and any rebroadcasts of Steve Irwin.  :(  To date, here are animals I cannot get enough of:

African Cape Buffalo
Tigers
Gazelles including impala, a favorite since childhood
Hippos
Giraffes
Jackals
Badgers
Meerkats including Flower :) and :(
Squirrels
Frogs
Cassowaries
Rifle birds, gads they're beautiful and strange and I just heard of them a month ago
Weaverbirds
Hammerhead sharks
Whales not seen regularly on programs, such as the sei, bowhead both Atlantic and Pacific, Minke, pilots, or about anything except gray whales and humpback whales, had enough already of those two, thanks
Trevallys
Groupers
Moon jellyfish
Dragonflies and their glorious, Charles Kingsley's Water Babies-type nymphs.

and the corollary list of creatures, well, I've been overexposed to so that I switch channels when seeing:

Killer whales
Dolphins except the pink Amazon dolphin, it's kinda ugly but rare, so yeah I'll watch it
Great white sharks
Turtles coming ashore to lay eggs
Bears, any kind
Monkeys and apes, any kind, period, except orangutans
Insects except butterflies or moths
Spiders

One animal to treasure reading about is the saola *points to icon* and oh how marvelous if it were in a documentary, as it's not been filmed in the wild.  I live for that.  Vietnam and Laos, get your shit together and put aside any differences to preserve this gorgeous, God-given creature.

Two animals to dream about discovering still alive though declared extinct: the moa and the thylacine.

PS, the meh list contains lions, spawning salmon, elephants, and snakes of any sort.
