Hello, folks. I write copy for textbroker.com; if you have the ambition to write fanfiction, try a short 'missing moment' scene, such as Obi-Wan Kenobi's reaction when Qui-Gon Jinn describes him as "capable."
Author has written 101 stories for Star Wars, Odyssey, Edgar Allan Poe, Shakespeare, Penguins of Madagascar, Greek Mythology, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Justice League, and Little Women. If you are into fanart, tumblr has stunning POM (and other fandoms!) cartoons offered by drawbauchery, and if you browse through the archive of humanized POM works via the pom tag, it's a trove of fannish goodness. Also, there is superb regular and humanized POM art by tumblr's tgoru. :) *siiiigh* Pixiv, tumblr and twitter make me yearn to read Russian, Japanese and Korean soooo much.
Why is this POM fandom such darn fun? (written for Snowflake's challenge of some years ago)

This is what made me laugh hardest about the Penguins of Madagascar fandom, because it encapsulates all the relationships between the main characters. From Madagascar 2:
Skipper: Operation Tourist Trap is a go.
Private: Oh, I like that one!
Kowalski: Works on many levels, sir.
Skipper: You guys are a bunch of suckups!
Kowalski: That too, sir!
Private: Absolutely!
Rico: Aye!
In a similar vein, the tumblr of incorrectpomquotes offers this:
Skipper: You don't need perfect people to make a perfect team. You need people whose flaws feed into each other. It's, uh - what do you call it - umm ...
Kowalski: Codependence.
Skipper: Synergy. For instance, there might be something Rico hates doing but Private loves doing. Or there might be something that Private hates doing but he does it anyways because what he really loves is to feel useful.
Kowalski: You literally just defined "codependence."
Skipper: *clink* Here's to synergy.
