I haven't seen Penguins of Madagascar, but I kind of love this idea!

Good to hear - honestly, so much humanization of the penguins is out there, with stunning fanart to boot, and these are the only two I've ideas for matching animal-to-human switch.

I'm not familiar with Penguins of Madagascar, but I can only imagine Marlene is a very fancy and attractive penguin. This is a great take on the challenge!

Oooh, the fandom is unafraid of interspecies romance! :) Marlene is an Asian Short-Clawed Otter and Skilene is a favorite pairing in the fandom - I had oodles of fun drawing her here for a contest *blush* *snicker* Upon further examination, they seem to be jumping on a trampoline rather than swimming.
