My entry in the deviantArt Devious Dreams contest

Project Title:
What is more precious than privacy?
Project Description:
I rent rooms in my home to students since 2008. I converted one downstairs space to a large flat and installed accordion type doors across the 6 x 8 foot opening in 2013. The plastic doors are naturally thin and transmit sound from both directions. I wish to enclose the space more thoroughly with wooden double doors, which cover the area only to the extent of 6 x 7 feet. The remaining space needs carpenter work to enclose it completely after the doors are hung.
I want to paint the added woodwork white and decorate it with a design of green fern fronds.
Project Plan:
1. Hire carpentry students from the nearby high school and fine tune the plan with them.
2. Buy the double doors from Habitat for Humanity and new lumber from Lowe's.
3. Paint the doors white if necessary. Do the tole painting after painting the new lumber.
4. The students install the doors.
5. Take photos to display on deviantArt and on social media.
Project Budget:
Buy double doors from Habitat for Humanity: $100
Buy new locks for doors: $20
Hiring of carpentry students to install doors: $400
Lumber to frame doors: $75
Paint and brushes: $50
Total: $645 USD
