Dear Fandom,
How are you? I am fine. I am in the second grade. My teacher is the prettyest one in the school because she has red hair and plaies the pianno when we sing. She makes us give book reports and I love Greek mythology so I read Bulfinches Mythologie. It was not written by a bird, ha ha. It is a big book. I finished it in a month when my custuddy parent drove me to her place on the frieway on weekends. It takes half an our each way. It was boreing until I read my book. I love reading. Maybe I shoulde not have read in the car because I got car sick and my custuddy parent had to pull over right their on the freiway. That was not fun.
My other custuddy parent says I am a fan and he says read, pronker, read so I do. I love my custuddy parent and I love beeing a fan. He says your going to need spex and my other custuddy parent got some for me. They have sequueins on the corners and I love them. Here are fan things I love: my freinds who talk with me at lunchtyme about our favorit tv shows the nite before, my fat books about Greek mythology and my skinney Little Golden Books about Bugs Bunny and Bambi and other movy stars, and my family when we sit around the tv and talk about what we see. I learnd a lil bit of reading from the credits, here is one name I see all the time on any chanel: Glen Glenn Sound.
I want to read and watch tv and maybee wrtite and draw some day. thank you, fandom, for all you do for me.
Love,
pronker

Date: 2021-01-20 03:03 pm (UTC)Thank you so much for sharing this, your homage to fandom is wonderful and reminds me so much of my love of an old pre-WWll encyclopaedia which I inherited when I was very small. I loved that book, even if half f the flags in the flag section belonged to countries which didn't exist any more. I would love to still have that book as that was back in the early 1970s and how many more countries don't exist in their own right any more!
Just fabulous, thank you for taking part in the challenge.

Date: 2021-01-20 06:53 pm (UTC)The encyclopedia would have had places like "French Equatorial Africa" and "British East Africa" plus "French West Africa" that took up huge amounts of territory. Maybe you could find the set on ebay? Even if the seller asks too high a price, just looking at the photos may satisfy ...
