Jedi Council Meeting Number 7,500,212 Transcript: The Deleted Seventeen Minutes

- (many footsteps and one slither leave the chamber; door status closed; embedded transcript sensors register three presences)

- Think you that Anakin cannot complete his task?

- No, that's not it at all, Master Yoda. My concern is that because of our close relationship he will always put my wellbeing ahead of the mission.

- You are the closest Master/Padawan team that I have ever observed, Obi-Wan.

- And that is precisely the problem. He will think of me first, Master Windu, I know it.

- Unconventional, young Skywalker is, but to suggest this, reason do you have?

- Masters, this must not leave this room. For many reasons.

- Our word, you have.

- Of course, Obi-Wan.

- Anakin loves me.

- I know.

- Know this, I do.

- You ... you do?

- Glows pink in the Force when see you he does, Obi-Wan.

- He loves you as his Master, his friend. We all loved our Masters to some degree ...

- Um. No. In, ah, other ways he loves me. Erm, well, we love each other.

- ... then, as Jedi, we love our fellows. It is part of who we are. To serve the Order better, we love our crèchemates, our teachers ...

- No, that's not it either.

- ... and of course, there is love for some beings, regardless of affiliation. It's part of our nature as Jedi to appreciate and yes, even love platonically beings who resonate a feeling of kinship within us ...

- Oh, Anakin resonates within me, all right.

- ... not to mention love of the galaxy, and beyond that ... (inaudible)

- Encouraged to love, we are, Obi-Wan.

- Don't worry, Obi-Wan. The Council understands.

- Platonically, you say.

- Of course. What else?

- Ah. Well, I tried. Thank you for listening, Masters. If you'll excuse me ...

- (door status open and closed; embedded transcript sensors register two presences)

- Master Windu.

- Master Yoda.

- Good, it is, to practice our speech. Expect tomorrow, I do, Master Fisto or Master Secura.

- Master Vos was first to confess an attachment, by holocam, if you recall.

- More expected, that was, than the Chosen One. Thought for sure, I did, that Senator Amidala would satisfy him.

- What do we truly know of the prophecy? A Chosen One, birthed by the Force itself, who knows his nature, his needs?

- An excellent team, Kenobi and Skywalker make. Lose them, we cannot.

- Obi-Wan, and Anakin. Huh.

- Told you, I did, Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan made effective team, all those long years ago.

THE END of an exercise in all-conversation writing.

Many footsteps and one slither-- that would be Master Rancisis-- perfect!

'resonates within me, all right' *snork!*

Good "exercise", as you put it. My only confusion is about what it was Master Vos did via holocam, exactly. Win the pool on when Obi-Wan would confess? Say he had an attachment? I like it. Post it many places, you should.

[snicker]

OK, that was cute. :) I loved how Yoda and Mace came across as so bloody dense until after Obi-Wan left. :P And the the "Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan" mention at the end was very cool too.

More to the point, since this was an exercise, I'll say that I always knew who was speaking, even without dialogue tags. That's really tough to do with three characters, although I'll grant that Yoda's speech patterns give you a major leg-up. But still, good job.

Loving and loving and the completely wrong kind of loving.... [grin] That was definitely fun. :)

This was when I burst into laughter aloud whilst reading this. This was a nice li'l piece of fiction to read. It was presented well, and for all dialogue? Very well done.

The humour's also well implied instead of blatant which I did like.

You're very welcome and I wish it were a cold January day here.
